Is Israel trying to kill as many Palestinians as possible before Trump tells them to stop?
(All the usual disclaimers, caveats, etc. No one wants to be sued. [If anyone is to be sued, it should be Israel and its supporters. But will any Palestinians be left to sue them? Another reason to exterminate them.] I’ve never been to Israel or Gaza. I don’t know any Israelis or Jews. What I ‘know’ about Gaza is at best second-hand. However, I have no reason not to trust the sources I use.)

Introduction
‘God’s Bankers’ by Gerald Posner lists many times the Church did not speak out to condemn Nazi and other atrocities. Why? I have no idea. Perhaps the Pope and other officials did not want to upset powerful people like Hitler and Mussolini. Perhaps in case they made life difficult for the Church.
Is that sufficient reason to not condemn atrocities against defenceless people? Isn’t the Church supposed to be on the side of peace and justice? There are times when we have to speak up to condemn evil. This is one.
As for the obligatory condemnation of Hamas, I agree with António Guterres who said in a speech to the Security Council that he condemned unequivocally Hamas’s deadly attacks in Israel but that they “did not happen in a vacuum”.

Deportation or extermination?
Is Israel trying to kill as many Palestinians as possible before Trump tells them to stop? This would make sense, as killing is easier than deporting one or two million people. Also, any Palestinians who survive will never forget.
Famine as a weapon
There is famine in Gaza. Children are dieing of starvation. Israel refuses to allow food into Gaza, relenting only when international outrage reaches a crescendo. Israel even refuses to allow Palestinians in Gaza to fish in the sea! As if Israel owns the sea!

This famine has been planned by Israel.
Israel and its minions are shooting at starving Palestinians who go to food distribution points. Murder in cold blood.

This is evil. EVIL. EVIL. EVIL.
No, it’s worse than that. It’s diabolical.
But there’s more.
“Gaza is often described as ‘the world’s largest open-air prison’ because no one is allowed to enter or leave. But that seems a bit unfair to prisons — they don’t have their electricity and drinking water cut off randomly almost every day.”

I’ve read that the occupation of Gaza and the West Bank is illegal.
Israeli troops are shooting reporters. They don’t want us to know about their atrocities. There are probably many we don’t know about.
The Israeli military is bombing hospitals, schools, churches, etc. If a suspected Hamas member is within 500 meters, take it out. Of course. They might not get a better chance.
I just found this: Early on in the war, IDF gave clearance to allow 20 civilian deaths for every low-ranking Hamas suspect. That number could increase to up to more than 100 civilians if the IDF were targeting a single senior Hamas official.

Supporters of Israel
We have to say a word or two about the responsibility of the USA and other supporters of Israel. Supplying Israel billions of dollars worth of weapons.
In 2024, the Biden administration issued a report that found it “reasonable to assess” that Israel has used U.S. weapons since October 7 “in instances inconsistent with its International Humanitarian Law obligations.” Days later, the White House said it was pausing a shipment of large bombs to Israel ahead of a pending assault on the southern Gaza city of Rafah, although it noted it would continue other military assistance. “Civilians have been killed in Gaza as a consequence of those bombs and other ways in which [Israel goes] after population centers,” President Biden said in an interview with CNN.
The ‘aid’ has included tank and artillery ammunition, bombs, rockets, and small arms. The Israeli military is also reportedly purchasing some high-tech products, such as surveillance drones, directly from smaller U.S. manufacturers.

The end of Judaism?
Perhaps the most disappointing part of all this is that it was Israel that God chose to spread her/his message of peace and love to the world. God gave the Ten Commandments to Israel. “Thou shalt not kill!”
Jews have been persecuted and massacred for centuries. Now it is they who are doing the persecuting and massacring. “Israel benefits from a halo effect associated with the Holocaust. Because the state of Israel was founded in response to the Nazi genocide, it is harder to accept that the Israeli government in turn would commit genocide. One obviously does not preclude the other, but Israel benefits from the cognitive dissonance.”

Dan Cohn-Sherbok, an American-born rabbi and professor emeritus of Judaism at the University of Wales, says that no longer do the vast majority of Jews believe in a providential God who intervenes in human history. Instead, more and more Jews worldwide (with the exception of the strictly Orthodox) have come to regard the State of Israel as their only hope for salvation.

The Palestinians are their brothers and sisters, but they don’t know that.
